October Forest Adventure 🌳🍂

In October, our class enjoyed a wonderful trip to the forest as part of our curriculum focus on wellbeing, sensory exploration, and outdoor learning. While we were there, we took part in a very special activity — we hugged a tree! 🌲💚

Tree hugging has many benefits for both our bodies and minds. It can help reduce stress, improve our mood, and make us feel more connected to nature. 🌿 This experience supported our work around Mental Health Awareness Week, where we explored different ways to look after our mental health and practise mindfulness.

Taking time to feel the tree bark, breathe in the fresh air, and listen to the sounds of the forest helped us build a deeper connection with the world around us. 🧘‍♂️🦉 It was a fantastic way to link our learning with real-world experiences, and we’re already looking forward to our next adventure outdoors!
